The Choreography of Our Life
It's difficult to choreograph “the perfect life.” Don’t you notice at times that going through your life is often very similar to the steps taken in a dance routine? When we make decisions, our steps may be long and sweeping. We may pause and struggle with doubt. We may find ourselves in a kind of Tango.
During our graceful moments, when we're flowing, and our movements are fluid, life may be more like a Ballet.
In imperfect moments, we usually falter and stumble. From there, we can pick ourselves up and move forward with reclaimed adventure. We might tap our feet, our dance steps feeling the way of our path as we engage in the Shuffle.
At times, adventure finds us or our hearts fill with promise and enthusiasm. Our eager heart chambers thumps vibrantly like drums. Our hips swaying with ease during this experience which is like that of the Hula.
When the flame of adventure has dimmed, and we're enjoying the peace of the slow burn and the swaying breeze, our life grooves to the easy flow of Reggae.
Even with lead feet, a lack of innate rhythm, or muscles which have fallen out of practice, there is always a dance in our lives of which we're an intrinsic part. Angela Monet has stated the belief that those who couldn't “hear the music” think the dancers to be insane. No one needs to understand your path but you.
Our styles are our own. By appreciating the twists, turns, ups and downs that result from the decisions we make and the paths we choose to take in our lives, we can begin to take control, create our very own choreography and dance freely.
